Megganet have been providing ADSL services since March 2000.

In the early days, Megganet were not the publics first choice supplier so we had to try a lot harder to get services activated. When we visited new clients to install our broadband service, they often told us that the other big company had already been. This is how we provided a better service at that time.

Firstly, we purchased about 30 of the most popular routers around and tested them on long line clients. Only 2 certain models from 3Com and Netgear were exceptional and became our standard.

We also purchased dozens of filters and found that active and non active filters faired differently in different situations.

Next we made sure the router was connected to the master filter and all other connections through the premises were at the client end of the filter. This has been adapted by all installers now.

Next, we removed all un necessary cables form the telephone sockets such as the bell wire – making the socket a 2 wire system – once again – this is normal now.

This attention to perfection meant we achieved a level of respect which helped propel the company into the big league.
